Flute Instructior
Lindsey Kovach is the flute instructor for Tomball High School where she teaches lessons, masterclasses, and flute choir. She maintains an active flute studio and performance career in the greater Northwest Houston area. An active member of the flute community, Ms. Kovach serves as the Young Artist Competition Coordinator for the Houston Flute Club and regularly adjudicates local auditions and competitions. Before moving to Texas, she earned her Master’s degree in Flute Performance from Florida State University. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Ms. Kovach taught weekly flute lessons to undergraduate music majors, directed the flute ensemble, and taught flute methods and baroque flute classes. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she served as the President of the Flute Association at Florida State. She previously earned dual degrees in Music Education and Flute Performance from the University of Kentucky. As a performer, Ms. Kovach has appeared as principal flute with the Florida State University Symphony Orchestra and Wind Orchestra. She has performed throughout the United States as a soloist and chamber musician. Her performance honors include the Patsy Drury Hejl National Scholarship for Outstanding Musical Achievement, selection to the National Intercollegiate Band, and winning the National Flute Association’s Collegiate Flute Choir Competition. Most recently, she earned Third Prize in the Flute Society of Kentucky's Young Artist Competition and performed as a featured soloist with the Kansas Flute Society flute choir. With more than eight years of teaching experience, Ms. Kovach has taught students ranging from beginners to advanced high school musicians, with students earning first-chair placements in honor bands, selection to region ensembles, and acceptance to summer music programs. Ms. Kovach holds a teaching certification in music education for grades K–12. Bassoon Instructor
Bassoonist Adam Drake is an active performer and educator based in Houston, Texas. He maintains a thriving studio of middle and high school bassoon students and performs regularly with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Symphony of Southeast Texas, and Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra. A passionate chamber musician, Adam enjoys creating innovative concert experiences and collaborating with organizations that promote music education and community engagement. Adam has performed throughout North America, including appearances at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, the National Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, and alongside members of the London Symphony Orchestra. He earned a Master of Music degree from The University of Texas Butler School of Music, where he studied with Kristin Wolfe Jensen.

Clarinet/Saxophone Instructor
Roddy Terrell was born and raised in North Carolina. He began playing clarinet at the age of 12 and was instantly in love with the sound. In 2005, he attended the Governor’s School of North Carolina and during this program, decided to make music his life’s passion and career. Roddy attended Furman University in Greenville, SC where he studied with Robert Chesebro and earned his bachelor’s degree in music performance in 2010. After graduation, Roddy attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA where he studied Clarinet with Robert DiLutis. From 2014-2017 Roddy served in the US Army as a clarinet player for the 82nd Airborne Division Band. In November of 2015, Roddy began his master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He graduated in 2018 and decided to use his skills as a clarinetist and an entrepreneur to found Oak City Clarinet. In the fall of 2019, Roddy began his master’s degree in Clarinet Performance at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. He graduated in May of 2021. Additionally, he completed a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Musicology in 2022. Roddy is an active teacher with positions at Music & Arts as a Mentor level teacher, where he teaches clarinet, bass clarinet, alto, tenor, bari sax, and flute; Moore Music Company in Greensboro, NC and an active private studio. As a performer, Roddy has recently appeared with The North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, Opera Roanoke and Greensboro Opera. Additionally, he has performed with the Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestra 2100. He is also a member of Appalachia: A Southeastern Wind Symphony, and the Poinsett Wind Symphony based in Greenville, SC. Roddy is ABD in clarinet performance at UNCG. His teachers are Dr. Anthony Taylor and Dr. Andy Hudson. Currently Roddy lives and teaches private clarinet and saxophone lessons in the greater Houston area.

Alexander Ramazanov is a professional trumpet player and educator residing in Houston. He actively performs with various professional ensembles, including the Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet, The Orchestra San Antonio, and the Charlotte Symphony. Alexander holds a bachelor’s degree from Lynn University and a master’s degree from the Juilliard School. As an educator with over a decade of experience, Alexander maintains a substantial trumpet studio and provides masterclass instruction in several Houston schools.

Horn Instructor
Craig Hubbard has performed as an orchestral, chamber and solo hornist for more than 20 years. He is 2nd horn of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and Principal horn of the Energy Corridor of Houston Orchestra. He has performed with the Galveston Symphony, Orquestra Sinfonica da Bahia, the Qatar Philharmonic, and under such conducting luminaries as Bernard Haitink, Lorin Maazel, David Robertson, and Alan Gilbert. He has performed for festivals like Music Academy of the West, the Sarasota Music Festival, the Castleton Festival, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and as a featured artist with Music from Salem, the Lake George Music Festival, and as a soloist with the Vermont Mozart Festival. He has appeared with The AXIOM Ensemble, The New Juilliard Ensemble, The Delphi Chamber Orchestra, The Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, Cantata Profana, and the Grammy nominated Gil Evans Project. Craig has taught music internationally in Central and South America and the Caribbean. He was recently faculty at New Haven’s Educational Center for the Arts (ECA), completed a master’s degree at Yale School of Music and holds a bachelor's degree from the Juilliard School.

Low Brass Instructor
Dane Magruder is a trombonist, educator, composer, and music producer serving the Houston community. A graduate of the DePaul University School of Music (BM in Performance), Dane’s elite classical foundation was shaped under the mentorship of legendary performers Mark Fisher of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Charles Vernon of the Chicago Symphony. His orchestral training is further highlighted by selective fellowships at prestigious summer programs, including the Eastern Music Festival and the Chautauqua Institution. In his private studio, Dane combines a rigorous orchestral approach with a simple, student-centered method of instruction that empowers musicians to develop strong technique, musicality, and confidence. His teaching emphasizes simplicity, ease, and a genuine enjoyment of playing the instrument. Alongside teaching and performing, he runs an active commercial studio where he composes and produces clean, elegant instrumental tracks for film, podcasts, and personal projects. Known for his versatile musicianship, Dane brings artistic depth and detailed craftsmanship to every collaboration. He is currently accepting new students and creative projects in the Houston area.

Zachary Miller is a percussionist, educator, and composer based in Houston, TX. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, where he studied with James Campbell and earned degrees in music education and percussion performance, and earned a master’s degree in percussion performance at the University of North Florida, where he served as a graduate teaching assistant with Dr. Andrea Venet. As a musician, Zach has performed at Carnegie Hall, Disney World, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, and Cape Cod. He has played alongside groups like the Bang on A Can All-Stars, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and Canadian Brass. He has won the Kappa Kappa Psi Biennial Solo Competition, performed with the 2021 and 2025 National Intercollegiate Bands, and performed with his flute and percussion duo at the 2021 National Convention of Kappa Kappa Psi/Tau Beta Sigma and the 2024 Florida Flute Association Conference. As a composer, Zach has won the Great Plains International Marimba Competition Composition Contest, placed 2nd in the Percussive Arts Society Composition Contest, and had works premiered by schools around the country and by the Escape Ten duo. As an educator, Zach has presented research at the annual Midwestern Education Research Association conference, received the Thomas Siwe Scholarship from the Percussive Arts Society, directed both scholastic and community ensembles in Kentucky and Florida, and continues to find new and innovative ways to increase accessibility for music education.
